Island Olive Oil Company will be hosting a FREE special event-Live Demo Challenge and Tasting at Island Olive Oil Ward Centre, Saturday May 18th between 12-2pm. This will be a fundraiser for the KCC culinary competition team which has made it to the national championships again this year, which will be held in Orlando on August 7th.
This fundraising event is free to the public so as to help give the students a fun and creative platform for them to gear up for the championship. The real goal is giving the team the opportunity for interaction with the public, and get some exposure outside of the kitchen to create a buzz in the community and raise some funds for the team.
For this event, the students will be competing against each other with menu items they developed with products from our stores. We will have two sets of judging for this event. One will be the people in the crowd voting for their favorite item and the second would be a local celebrity chef who will be in attendance.
