Za'atar is a spice blend that is used for just about everything in the Middle East.
It is delicious on tomatoes, as a rub for chicken, beef, lamb, or fish. Use it over roasted potatoes or chickpeas, on avocado toast, or sprinkled in your next batch of popcorn. Sprinkle it on cream cheese, yogurt or toasted bread for the perfect combination of flavor. Sprinkle over eggs, cheese, and hummus, or just mix it with some olive oil and dip away. Many Middle Eastern dishes have Za'atar sprinkled on them to add that extra earthiness from the oregano and tanginess from the sumac which is so delicious.
