Inspired by Milanese cooking, our Gremolata is true to recipe and is a composed of freshly chopped parsley combined with delicate aromas of lemon zest and fresh garlic. This Italian herb condiment is crushed together with mortar & pestle to release their pungent essential oils then added to our premium olive oil. It is the traditional accompaniment to Milanese braised veal shank, known as “Osso Buco”.
It also adds a great flavor to meatballs, drizzled over pasta, roasted vegetables, or use as a marinade for meats and fish. Make salad dressing with it that goes well with arugula and shaved parmesan.
Pairs well with polenta, white wine, risotto, shallots, anchovies, toasted pine nuts, white pizza, parmesan cheese, braised meats, shrimp, and fish.
