Blood Orange Brownies

These brownies will spoil you forever. Don’t be put off by the name. The secret ingredient is Blood Orange Olive Oil! If you decide to double the recipe, use 2 square pans, NOT a 9x13” pan. The baking time and end result will be different. I do not recommend adding nuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter, frosting, or anything else to these brownies.

1 box brownie mix (any kind)

1/3 cup Blood Orange Olive Oil

Follow directions on the box, BUT substitute 1/3 cup Blood Orange Olive Oil for that amount of oil or butter in the recipe. Bake on top rack of your oven, for less time than the box indicates (e.g. if the box says bake for 35 minutes, bake for only 30 minutes). Remove from oven. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
